Before having the official clothes collection boxes and stationing them city-wide on a wide range of campuses, we held clothes drives both in our school and in our communities.
Our founders at Saddle River day hosted their clothes drive with the zeroth generation Collection Box. They decorated a
huge cardboard box with colorful papers, shiny confettis and bold letters and designed intricate posters. It turned out to be a success.
A month after the box is stationed, it's filled with students' donations.
A peer of mine remarked:" I am so glad you brought these boxes to school. My family have tons of old clothes we need to get rid off, but throwing them
in our normal incinerate bin doesn't feel right, and there isn't any recycling bin for clothes near us. It (the collection box) is such a relief."
Now that we see the need for this project from our peers, our ambition of having formal clothes collection boxes stationed in as many place as as possible is affirmed.
